Neurofeedback Process
The Neurofeedback Treatment Process
STEP 1
ASSESSMENT
The Phoenix Assessment involves 4-one-hour sessions spaced out over 3-4 visits:
- At the first visit, start with a one-hour QEEG acquisition session followed by a one-hour Clinical Interview.
- Before treatment begins, you will have a Symptom Tracker© baseline interview. You may be recommended for other evaluations such as trauma or family dynamics.
- The process will conclude with the Review and Treatment Plan overview session about one week later.
A Phoenix Assessment includes : QEEG Acquisition and Analysis, Clinical Interview, Symptom Tracker© Interview, QEEG Review / Treatment Plan Overview.
Treatment
Treatment for neurofeedback is a process taking place 2-3 times per week. More than 4 times per week isn’t better and less than twice a week and your brain isn’t going to shift anytime soon!

STEP 3
Review
Everyone should plan to attend 45 treatments with QEEG reviews every 15-20 sessions. Some patients will experience early discharge at 35 sessions and some at 65 sessions or more.
*If you are on 2 or more psychiatric medications and your goal is to get off of them, the total number of treatments will be more than the norm.
